From a teenage bedroom in Santiago to one of Latin America’s most exciting new voices

Behind the stage name AKRIILA is 22-year-old Fernanda Sepúlveda, a Chilean rapper and singer-songwriter who has built a musical universe entirely her own, with both feet firmly planted in Santiago. Blending trap, reggaeton and pop with electronic experimentation and dreamy synths, she takes you on a genre-bending journey.

AKRIILA kick-started her career from her teenage bedroom during the pandemic, and things have moved quickly ever since. It all began with the mixtape 001, before her debut album Epistolares arrived in 2024. On the record, reggaeton is joined by everything from drum & bass and grunge to progressive electronica.

On the EP headphones !, she teamed up with Chilean-Swedish producer Dinamarca, while more recent releases such as ‘Suave’ with Jane Remover have added both indie rock and bedroom pop to her catalogue. With romantic longing in the lyrics, futuristic production coming through the speakers and a sound that constantly refuses to stand still, AKRIILA is quickly leaving her mark on a new generation of Latin American pop.
