Von Quar is Denmark’s biggest band — at least in terms of numbers!

Von Quar have sent the hype levels soaring in record time. Since forming in 2024, they have created their own unique blend of rock, punk and rave, which they describe as Danish-language hooligan rock. The new genre draws inspiration from the energy, sense of community and chanting culture of football terraces.

The project is led by Mikkel Øster, who has brought the best elements of football culture into the music: the feeling of belonging to a club, singing together and being part of something bigger. You can both hear and feel it on tracks like ‘6 kilometer’ and ‘Alt hvad jeg vil’, where hypnotic synths, hard-hitting drums, shouted vocals and a huge brass section come together. And with up to 15 members on stage, Von Quar is not just a band — in fact, they prefer to call themselves a club.

Although Von Quar only have a handful of official singles in their catalogue, they have already made a name for themselves as one of Denmark’s most explosive live acts. With critically acclaimed performances, sold-out shows and a commanding appearance at P3 Guld, Von Quar have made it almost impossible to stand still. And there is even more to look forward to, as their debut album is set to be released on 23 October.

So get ready for singalongs, high knees and Danish-language hooligan rock when the entire Von Quar club takes over Eskelunden this summer.
